Half Marathon   |    10K   |    5K   |    2.5 mile Walk

This 10K race is a loop course along rural roads with a significant elevation gain in the middle. The course runs along the base of a ridge and then switchbacks up the ridge before dropping briefly and beginning a long gentle climb and moderate descent followed by a mile and a half flat finish which will include a short out-and-back on Thornton Lake Road. This route is for serious runners! Water will be available along the route. Road marshals present along route.

10k

Runners will exit left out of the North Albany Village Plaza onto N. Albany Road, turn left onto NW Hickory Street and proceed to Springhill Drive. Left onto Springhill Drive and a short detour around Picardy and Green Acre Lanes and then eventually right onto the serene Nebergall Loop at the Quarry Road intersection.  Runners will take another detour from Nebergall onto Mayview Drive up to 13th Avenue and left onto Sherman Street before returning to Nebergall. Runners cross back over Springhill Drive onto NW Ferguson Drive and onto Quarry Road. Left at the intersection of Quarry and N. Albany Road  before crossing over N. Albany Road onto the 10K Scenic Challenge course at Thornton Lake Road and up the formidable Scenic Drive hill. After the hill, runners will turn right and climb a gradual slope on Gibson Hill and coast down N. Albany Road, turn right and execute a short out-and-back on Thornton Lake Road to finish at North Albany Village. This route is for serious runners! Water will be available along the route. This is an out-and-back run along a pastoral, rural road with minor elevation changes. Runners will travel down Thornton Lake Road to the midway markers and water station and return along the route. Road marshals present along route.

 

2.5 Mile Walk Course

The friendly walk course is a 2.5 mile loop with no significant elevation gain. Sidewalks or bike lanes are available throughout the course. Leashed dogs and strollers are allowed on the walking route. Road marshals present along route
