On the Scenic Challenge:
There will be two water stations for runners on the course.
For our volunteers:
Starbucks in North Albany Plaza will be contributing the nectar of life (aka coffee) for our hardworking volunteers that arrive as early as 5:00am!.
Timing for this race will be done using the MYLAPS “Chip on the Bib” Please note the following to ensure you are using this Timing Chip properly:
You must wear your bib. It can be worn on the front or back of your shirt, on your running shorts or using a bib belt. NOTE! It is preferable that you wear the bib so that the number is visible from the front so that you can be identified by the photographer.
DO NOT crumple or fold the bib as this will break the transponder antenna
DO NOT place the bib between your body and your child’s (i.e. this is what happens when you carry your child when finishing the race). This action will prevent the transponder from sending its signal.
DO NOT remove your shirt and carry it folded up in your hand. This action may prevent the transponder from sending its signal if the bib itself is folded or inside your moist shirt.
The Timing Chip is disposable so no need to return it after the race. If you wish to RECYCLE the TIMING CHIP please leave it affixed to the bib and turn in the entire bib at the finish line.
Individual results will be posted on our race timer's site as they come in live and they should be accessible via your phone or tablet right away; a link will be posted on our home page.
Alternatively we'll be printing out sheets of results and overall standings and hanging them on the windows outside the storefront where we'll be giving out the awards. The standings will be printed as soon as all participants from the race cross the finish line.
If you won an award but left before the ceremony we'll post on our home page and on Facebook to let you know where you can come pick up your medal.
The lot is big, but if it's full then there is parking available at North Albany Middle School. It's a five minute from there to the start, but consider it a good warm up!
